With a pipe diameter of 2,032mm and a length of 18m, these ultra-large diameter, extra-long spiral submerged arc welded steel pipes will soon be shipped overseas to Saudi Arabia for use in local seawater desalination projects and urban water supply pipeline construction, contributing to infrastructure development in Saudi Arabia.
To meet client requirements, the company adopted advanced spiral submerged arc welding technology and optimized pipe transportation protocols. Comprehensive upgrades were implemented on core equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical control systems, significantly enhancing operational stability and automation levels. These improvements laid a solid foundation for achieving high-strength, high-quality pipe welds. Additionally, through precise process control and advanced testing methods, the company ensured uniform wall thickness and dimensional accuracy of the pipes. Paired with reliable anti-corrosion coatings, these measures effectively guarantee the pipes’ service life. After rigorous supervision and inspection, the batch of steel pipes successfully passed quality assessments, fully meeting the standards set by Saudi clients.
