Recently, marking the official transition of the project from material procurement to full coating phase. As one of the core materials for the RUYA project, the carbon steel seamless submarine pipes constituted the largest single material procurement order in China for the project, with a total purchase volume of 19,600 metric tons. This shipment weighing approximately 4,300 tons will be transported to Zhuhai for coating. The RUYA project features complex technical requirements, high-standard specifications, and challenging dimensional/accuracy controls. Some pipelines transporting media in Acidic Zone 3 demand particularly stringent material and welding quality standards.
With this shipment departure, the offshore installation phase of the RUYA project officially commences. COOEC (Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd.) will subsequently initiate comprehensive offshore construction operations in Qatari waters.
