The Yangzi Petrochemical Refining Structural Adjustment Project, a key initiative for both the Group Corporation and Nanjing Municipality, includes a 2.6 mt/a residue hydrotreating unit, a 2.8 mt/a catalytic cracking unit, and a 1.5 mt/a S-Zorb unit. In March last year, the project achieved a successful one-time startup, reaching the highest operational standards among similar Group Corporation facilities. This significantly enhanced Yangzi Petrochemical's heavy oil processing capacity and laid the foundation for further product structure optimization.
The project focused on optimizing the catalytic reprocessing of hydrotreated diesel, reducing diesel production output. Through innovative reactor retrofits and improvements to the in-tube mixed feed flow process, it utilized LTAG nozzle feeding from the catalytic cracking unit to reprocess residue hydrotreated diesel. The reprocessing volume has been progressively increased to 20 tons per day..
