The project is a key project of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and is undertaken by China Huanqiu Contracting & Engineering Co., Ltd.
On September 28, the Sichuan Petroleum Corporation's Tarim 120kt/a Phase II Ethylene Project was officially launched. The project has an investment of 21.88 billion yuan and is based on the rich oil and gas resources of the Tarim Basin. It will construct 11 main production units, including a 120kt/a ethylene unit, two 450kt/a full-density polyethylene units, and a 300kt/a low-density polyethylene unit.
Upon completion, the project will produce over 2 million tons of high-end polyolefin and high-performance rubber materials per year, further increasing the domestic industrial chain and supply chain self-sufficiency rate of high-end petrochemical products.
