The PETG plant developed and built by Shenghong Petrochemical has successfully started operation in Lianyungang, Jiangsu. With an annual capacity of 130,000 tons, the plant is expected to generate annual sales revenue of over 2 billion yuan.
PETG is a new material with excellent thermal processing properties, toughness, weather resistance, and chemical resistance, mainly used in special containers, high-end film materials, and medical and healthcare fields.
The relevant person in charge of Shenghong Petrochemical said that the project can significantly increase the domestic self-sufficiency rate of PETG products from less than 20% to over 50%, meeting the surging domestic market demand.
