Recently, the 8th Research Department of Luoyang Ship Material Research Institute successfully developed the largest specifications of titanium alloy seamless pipe bend in China, with the sample size reaching φ690*20mm. After inspection, the dimensions and performance of the sample met the design specifications, and the overall level reached the domestic leading level. The successful development of this bend product has achieved a full series breakthrough in the technology of medium-to-high-strength titanium alloy seamless pipe fittings, enhancing the core competitiveness of the Luoyang Ship Material Research Institute in titanium alloy seamless pipe fittings.
To solve the problem of precision forming high-strength titanium alloy seamless fittings in ship marine pipelines, the researchers adopted simulation of multi-pass forming process of fittings, hot forming process experiment, etc. to focus on the key R&D of several high-temperature forming technologies for titanium alloy complex structural parts. It solved the industry problems of narrow forming process window and complex high-temperature rheological behavior of titanium alloy, and successfully independently developed a series of specifications of medium-high strength titanium alloy seamless elbows, reducers, and tees, filling the domestic technical blank.
