Rongsheng Petrochemical plans to invest 20.08 billion yuan to build a coal-to-butanediole and acetic acid ester project, which covers coal gasification, acetic acid, acetic acid vinyl ester, EVA/LDPE and other units. It is expected to be completed in 2029.
The project will construct production facilities including a coal gasification unit (producing 20.05 mt/a of synthesis gas, 28.21 mt/a of carbon monoxide, and 0.27 mt/a of hydrogen per year), a 500kt/a acetic acid unit, a 350kt/a vinyl acetate unit, 3 sets of 350kt/a ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer/low-density polyethylene resin units, a 400kt/a butanol unit, as well as supporting utilities, storage and transportation facilities, environmental protection facilities, and auxiliary production facilities.
