With a total investment of 21.6 billion yuan, Shenghong Chemical's new materials project plans to build projects with an annual output of 700,000 tons of EVA, 50kt/a of high-end polyolefin, and PO/SM and polyols.
The PO/SM and polyol project will comprehensively utilize the ethylene, propylene and benzene of Shenghong's refining and chemical integration project for deep processing, further producing polyether polyol (PPG) and polymer polyol (POP) products, and eventually extend the industrial chain to the field of polyurethane. After the completion of the project, it will further make up for the supply gap of domestic polyurethane raw materials, significantly improve the overall economic benefits and competitiveness of the project, and make it occupy an active position in the market competition.
According to the plan, the carbon-5 and carbon-9 separation units are scheduled to be delivered in mid-March 2024; The PO/SM project is scheduled to be delivered in mid-August 2024; The first set of 200,000-ton EVA project is scheduled to be delivered in mid-November 2024; Other projects will be delivered in the first half of 2025.
