On October 12, the construction of 300,000 tons of polystyrene plant for Guangxi Petrochemical, refining and chemical integration transformation and upgrading project officially started.
The device adopts the second generation of polystyrene proprietary technology independently developed by Guangdong Huanqiu Engineering Co., LTD., which mainly includes process units such as batching, polymerization, devolatilization, vacuum, granulation and hot oil, and auxiliary facilities such as public works. The plant has a total of 1 general grade polystyrene (GPPS) product production line and 2 impact grade polystyrene (HIPS) product production line, with a single line capacity of 100,000 tons per year. The product line can switch production with each other, and the operating flexibility is 60% to 110%.
The device is designed and built by Guangdong Huanqiu Guangye Engineering Co., LTD., and is expected to be delivered to China on March 30, 2025. The operation of the device will further improve the product chain and balance the supply of styrene raw materials, which is of great significance to the overall implementation of the refining and chemical integration transformation and upgrading project.
