Sichuan project in Sichuan Petrochemical 2023 overhaul. These include 2.5 mt/a catalytic cracking unit, gas separation light hydrocarbon combined unit, 10 mt/a atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit, and 100kt/a sulfur recovery combined unit.
The 2.5 mt/a external heat extractor of the catalytic cracking unit needs to be lifted and replaced by two external heat extractor bundles, which is the largest and heaviest lifting in the lean overhaul project of Sichuan Petrochemical. The weight of the external heat extractor bundle is about 89 tons, and the dense pipe at the top of the external heat extractor bundle must be removed before hoisting. The top pipeline is about 45 meters high from the ground, and the pipeline demolition operation is a high-altitude operation, which is difficult and risky.
As the first external heat extracter bundle of Sichuan Petrochemical's 2.5 mt/a catalytic cracking unit was successfully dismantled and lifted to the ground, the Sichuan project successfully completed the first large-scale equipment lifting operation of Sichuan Petrochemical's major overhaul in 2023.
