Saudi Aramco and Total Energy announced the signing of the $11 billion Engineering, procurement and Construction (EPC)
The Amiral project, located in the city of Jubail in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia, is the petrochemical facility expansion project of Saudi Arabia's SATORP Refinery. Construction work on the project will begin soon after the EPC is signed, the two companies said. EPC contracts were awarded to Korea's Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co., LTD., Sinopec Refining and Chemical Engineering (Group) Co., LTD.
The project is jointly invested by Saudi Aramco and France's Total Energy company, and plans to build a new world-class petrochemical complex in the Jubail Industrial Zone, which can convert naphtha, ethane, natural gas condensate and other products produced by Satorp refinery and Saudi Aramco into higher value chemicals. The project is currently a high priority for Saudi Aramco.
Nanjing Engineering is responsible for the design, procurement and construction of the project's tank farm integration with the Satorp refinery. It is understood that after signing the contract, the project team held several project planning seminars. Complete the design execution planning, design subcontract preparation, project schedule preparation, long-term procurement equipment inquiry, office and camp research and other work strictly according to the requirements of contracts and tenders.
