Nanjing Yangzi Petrochemical Co., Ltd. light hydrocarbon comprehensive utilization and new material transformation project will build 1 mt/a steam cracking ethylene plant, 350kt/a HDPE device, 300kt/a LLDPE device, 400kt/a PP device and so on. With a total investment of 44 billion yuan, the project is planned to start construction before March 30, 2022, and the third phase of the project will be fully completed and put into operation in December 2027.
The implementation of the 1.7 mt/a light hydrocarbon comprehensive utilization and transformation project of Yangzi Petrochemical will effectively solve the gap problem of ethylene and propylene in Nanjing region, and will further promote the development of ethylene and propylene industry chain in the surrounding region.
The project will build a new 1.7 mt/a light hydrocarbon cracking unit, and make overall use of by-products of refining units and regional resources in Nanjing area to produce ethylene and propylene. The project will optimize and adjust the raw material structure of Yangzi Petrochemical and reduce ethylene production costs.
