On June 26, two key units undertaken under the EPC general contracting consortium formed by Sinopec Ningbo Engineering Co., Ltd. and Sinopec Engineering Incorporation passed the intermediate handover acceptance with high standards. They are the 3.7 million tons per year diesel hydrocracking unit and the 1 million tons per year C4 complex unit of the Huajin Aramco Fine Chemicals and Raw Material Project.
Following the intermediate handover of the 15 mt/a atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit and the 3.5 mt/a light hydrocarbon recovery unit on June 23, the four refining units constructed by Ningbo Engineering Company have all been fully completed, officially entering the stages of joint commissioning and production preparation.
Located in Liaobin Economic and Technological Development Zone of Panjin City, the Huajin Aramco Project is invested and developed by Huajin Aramco Petrochemical Co., Ltd. With a total investment of 83.7 billion yuan and a land area of 8.97 square kilometers, the project plans to build 32 process units including a 15 mt/a refinery, 1.65 mt/a ethylene plant and 2 mt/a PX plant, as well as supporting utility and auxiliary facilities.
