The Zhenhai Phase I project started construction in early 2020 and was officially fed with materials for trial operation by the end of 2021. The Zhenhai base has formed an annual refining capacity of 27 million tons and an annual ethylene capacity of 2.2 million tons. The Zhenhai Phase II project began construction in June 2022 and the overall project achieved mid-delivery of the facilities by the end of October 2024, successfully completing the project construction in more than two years.
After the commissioning of the Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Phase II project, the refining capacity will reach 38 million tons per year, and the annual crude oil processing capacity will reach 40 million tons, making it the second largest refining enterprise in China after Zhejiang Petrochemical.
