The total investment of the third phase of the Shell project reached 52.1 billion yuan, including 1.6 mt/a ethylene cracker and downstream, a total of 18 sets of chemical production equipment, public works and supporting facilities. The ethylene cracker to be built is one of the largest in the world.
After the third phase of the project is completed and put into operation, the total ethylene production capacity of China Overseas Shell will reach 3.8 mt/a, accounting for about 8% of China's total ethylene production capacity last year. After post-production and processing, China Sea Shell can provide a total of more than 11 million tons of petrochemical products to the market every year to fill the domestic demand for petrochemical products.
