Recently, the groundbreaking ceremony of 2× 450kt/a polypropylene plant of Daxie Petrochemical refining and Chemical Integration Project was held at the project site.
The 2× 450kt/a polypropylene plant of Daxie Petrochemical Refining and Chemical Integration Project is the largest polypropylene project of the same series in China at present, and the product types include homopolymer, random copolymer and impact copolymer. After the completion of the project, the polypropylene production capacity of Daxie Petrochemical will reach 1.2 mt/a, which is conducive to the consolidation of the industrial foundation of Daxie Petrochemical and the development and expansion of the industrial chain. On August 30, 2022, the 300kt/a polypropylene plant of China Shipping Refining and Chemical Daxie Petrochemical was put into operation.
The project will be completed and put into operation by the end of 2024, when Daxie Petrochemical will reach the production capacity of 10 million tons of oil refining, 1 million tons of aromatics and 1 million tons of polyolefin, and the total refinery scale will reach 12 mt/a, which will have stronger market adaptability, profitability, sustainable development ability and comprehensive competitiveness.
The project will build 14 sets of 6 mt/a of atmospheric and vacuum pressure, 3.2 mt/a of catalytic cracking, 2.2 mt/a of wax oil hydrogenation, 1.5 mt/a of continuous reforming, 1.5 mt/a of hydrocracking, and supporting the construction of storage and transportation, public works and auxiliary facilities.
