This giant steel structure, over 50 meters long, more than 20 meters wide, nearly 50 meters high and with a total weight exceeding 2,000 tons, marks a landmark achievement for Maoming Zhongli after it systematically mastered core technologies including modular design and integrated manufacturing of large-scale complete ethylene cracking furnaces for the first time.
As a major national strategic refining and chemical integration project, the CNOOC Shell Huizhou Phase III Ethylene Project involves a total investment of 48 billion yuan. Upon completion, its total ethylene production capacity will reach 3.8 million t/a, making it the largest single-unit ethylene production base in China. Serving as the core "heart" of the entire facility, the 1.6 million t/a ethylene cracking furnace directly determines the operational efficiency, safety and stability of the whole plant by virtue of its technical standard and manufacturing quality.
