The TOX reactor, a core piece of equipment for the Shandong Polyoxymethylene Project contracted by China Tianchen Engineering Corporation, has been successfully delivered!
With a diameter of 4,000 mm and a volume of 100 m³, this reactor serves as the core unit of the plant and operates under harsh conditions with highly corrosive materials. Its material has been upgraded to zirconium-titanium-steel clad plate, and a thermal simulated cycle test under simulated operating conditions is required before the equipment leaves the factory.
After carbon steel welding, the equipment was sandblasted and fully wrapped with cling film to eliminate iron ion contamination sources. The internal zirconium welding was carried out in a Class 100,000 clean room, with real-time phenanthroline detection implemented during the process.
Upon completion of manufacturing, the equipment underwent a thermal simulated cycle test based on actual operating conditions, and passed the subsequent helium mass spectrometry leak test in a single attempt.
