This project involves the construction and revamping of a total of 10 refining units, including 7 new units and 3 revamped units. The new refining units cover multiple areas, including a 3mt/a hydrocracking unit (with PSA), a 1.2mt/a solvent deasphalting unit, and a 200,000 standard cubic meters per hour POX hydrogen production unit. Meanwhile, existing units will be revamped, such as the medium-pressure hydrocracking unit, the 1.8mt/a gasoline adsorption desulfurization (S-Zorb) unit, and the 730kt/a gas fractionation unit. Additionally, the project will shut down 8 outdated units, including the high-pressure hydrocracking unit and the solvent deasphalting unit, to optimize resource allocation and enhance overall production efficiency.
In the chemical sector, this project also plans to construct and revamp 10 chemical units, including 8 new units and 2 revamped units. The new chemical units will include key facilities such as a 1.2mt/a ethylene plant and a 200kt/a butadiene extraction unit. At the same time, upgrades will be made to existing chemical units, such as the No. 2 C5 separation unit and the No. 2 ethylene glycol unit.
