The project primarily involves technical renovation, upgrading, and capacity expansion of the existing integrated cumene-phenol acetone-bisphenol A (BPA) complex. Key upgrades include:
Cumene unit: Capacity increased from 530kt/a to 681.92kt/a;
Phenol acetone unit: Capacity increased from 650kt/a to 780kt/a;
BPA unit: Capacity increased from 480kt/a to 576kt/a.
Following the expansion, the additional output of phenol, acetone, and BPA will not only meet the demands of downstream facilities but also be available for external sales. Additionally, the project implements a waste acetone recovery renovation in the BPA unit. This upgrade will separate, purify, and recycle waste acetone liquid generated during BPA production, significantly reducing liquid waste discharge.
