The project, with an annual ethylene capacity of 1.2 million tons and a downstream high-end new materials industrial cluster, successfully completed its first start-up and completed the full production process on November 11th, producing qualified products. The project's operation marks that China Petrochemical's ethylene capacity in Tianjin has reached 2.5 million tons per year, making it one of the largest ethylene industrial bases of China Petrochemical and will drive the development of a trillion-yuan downstream industry, helping Tianjin's fine chemical and new materials industry to lead the country and continuously contribute to the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
The project applies first-class industrial technologies and design concepts, including 13 sets of chemical plants, including a 1.2 mt/a ethylene plant and downstream plants, to produce high-end, differentiated, and domestically unprecedented new materials and specialty chemicals.
