This $1.8 billion project, located at Total Energies' refinery in Arthur, Texas, will produce ethylene from the cracking unit. The ethylene produced will be used as a feedstock for Baystar's existing polyethylene (PE) unit, as well as the new Borstar® technology PE unit currently being built in the Bayport area.
In addition, another PE unit with an annual capacity of 625,000 tons is being built, using Northstar's proprietary Borstar® technology to provide a wide range of products to help meet the growing global demand for plastic products.
